Aspen ROM Knee (1)

Many knee injuries cause pain that can be alleviated with a knee brace. A knee brace relieves pain and promotes healing by providing structural support to the knee — support your muscles and ligaments are unable to provide when you have an injury or a chronic condition.

ACL injuries, ligament or meniscus tears, tendinitis, bursitis and arthritis are all conditions that can cause knee pain, and all can be improved by wearing a knee brace. If you have had surgery, our knee braces prevent full range of motion and help keep you from re-injuring yourself while you’re recuperating. At the same time, the knee brace allows you to regain some measure of mobility so you can resume a normal lifestyle and perform more of the activities of daily living on your own.

Compression sleeves for knees help keep swelling down, which improves comfort and mobility. But compression sleeves may not provide as much support as you need. In these cases, you may want to try a hinged knee brace. Hinged knee braces allow you to bend and straighten your leg, but they prevent contraindicated side-to-side movement.

Best Knee Brace for Arthritis

Those with osteoarthritis may require an unloader knee brace. These knee braces for osteoarthritis are so-called because they unload pressure from the area of your knee where it is causing pain.

Some conditions, such as ligament tears, are temporary, but arthritis is chronic. It can worsen with age, but you can help stave off the progression with regular exercise. The problem is, arthritis makes exercise painful. An unloader knee brace for osteoarthritis can help relieve your pain enough for you to resume exercising again, and this will further improve your condition.

Elite Medical Supply carries medial unloader knee braces and lateral unloader knee braces. Consult with your doctor to see which type of OA unloader knee brace you need.

Comfortable Knee Braces

If you’ve never worn a knee brace before, you might find the pictures intimidating. But rest assured, all our knee braces come with clear directions and are easy to put on and take off. They’re also comfortable. They’re adjustable, so there is no binding or chafing, and they’re breathable as well.

Don’t suffer any longer than you have to. Order a knee brace from Elite Medical Supply of NY today.
